Toronto City Council 2014 Budget Voting Record – Compare the Fords’ Voting Record with your City Councillor’s

The link below contains a spreadsheet voting record on selected motions for the 2014 Toronto City budget. (It was from a link from TogetherToronto.ca) The link is

Compare your Councillor’s voting record with that of Rob and Doug Ford on a number of social and environmental needs. Many of the motions were made by Rob Ford and he lost all of them, thanks to thoughtful, moral, compassionate City Councillors.

To me this illustrates what is wrong with so much of the media about Rob and Doug. The focus is on Rob’s behaviour and not on the voting record of these two. If they had their way Toronto would be a far meaner place for both adults and children with more crime, no help with gridlock and so much more. Rob claims he answers everyone’s phone calls and he goes out publicly to shout at cockroaches and holes in walls, but then he goes back to Council and votes against what would be helpful to people.

Just this week, Doug Ford appeared on TVO’s The Agenda with Steve Paikin. Steve did not even challenge Doug on Rob’s and Doug’s political agenda, seeming to accept it at face value. The discussion was about how Rob’s behaviour may have hurt his performance as mayor.

Robyn Doolittle (author of ‘Crazy Town’) who was on separately, did mention that Rob’s behaviour did indeed affect his job performance because Rob was absent from his office and public mayoral duties for days at a time. He never has allowed the publication of his daily schedule.

This voting record spreadsheet is far more revealing than the daily shenanigans which may serve as a cover for the Fords’ true agenda!
